BLACK AND WHITE

Hi... thanks for popping by
This is a DL size card with mat and layers of black and white card.  I cut and embossed the filigree vase by Spellbinders for CE on white card without using the outside cutting edge.  I then made a cut on the top of the vase using a craft knife.  The flowers are also dies by Spellbinders and I cut and embossed these in black card and placed them through the top of the vase and adhered them in place.
A very quick card to make
I do appreciate you taking the time to visit my blog and leaving me a comment, thank you

FOR YOU

Happy start to the week bloggers and thanks for popping by...
A new challenge starts today at 'Crafty Cardmakers', the theme being 'texture' and this is my contribution as part of the design team.  Take a visit to the blog and see the fabulous ideas and creations from the design team members.
My card is an 8" square with several mat and layers in white and purple.  I used a mask to create the main focal point, and my apologies as I can't find the name of it anywhere!  I applied Cosmic Shimmer Texture Paste by Creative Expressions (CE) over the mask then carefully removed it to allow the texture paste to dry.  I used a Memory Box Die to cut the smaller focal point, 2 in purple card and 1in white card, overlapped them slightly and once the texture paste was dry I adhered the swirls to the card.  The sentiment is from my stash and stamped onto vellum.  A finishing touch of purple gems to two of the corners completes the card
Thank you for visiting my blog, I always look forward to reading your comments...

SATURDAY GIVE AWAY ~ 'JUST BECAUSE'

 Hi... thanks for popping by
Today's 'give away' card is a very pretty 7" square card with thin mat and layers of pale blue and dark blue card stock.  I've used 2 dies from SW's collection for Creative Expressions, adhering the 'pointed' ones to each corner then filling in the spaces with the remaining scalloped edge one.
I've used a Memory Box Die for the centre and cut this once in the 2 blue cards and 1 in white card.  I stamped the sentiment onto the pale blue card then off set the 3 layers prior to adhering to the card
If you would like to give this card a new home leave me a comment and a name will be picked at random on Monday morning and announced here

It's not a problem if you live over sea as I'm happy to post to you
Have a great weekend

KNIT 1 PURL 2

Hi... thanks for popping by

I made this card for a relative's birthday, who is an avid knitter.
It's a 6" square white card base and I added a thin pink mat (pink card from my stash).  I cut a smaller piece of white foundation card by CE and embossed it using the Nordic Tiles EF by SW for CE and adhered to the pink card leaving a narrow border.
The ball of wool and knitting needles come as one stamp by Woodware.  I stamped the image with Clear Perfect Medium Stamp Pad, sprinkled WOW Embossing Powder in Princess Pink over the wool and heat set it.  I then very lightly sprinkled a few colours of the Pixie Powders by CE and spritz the image.  I used a water colour pencil to colour the needles then cut out the whole image, added mounting foam to the back and adhered to the card.  From my stash I added a few sequins and added a Birthday Wishes sentiment by CE
